Where Jonathan helps.

Three ways to work together, each grounded in corporate finance execution and shaped around the situation in front of you.

One-to-one mentoring

Before the decision leaves the room.

Most founders reach the lender, the investor, or the board conversation before they have stress-tested their own position. The meeting becomes the rehearsal.

Jonathan works at the point before that. The sessions are confidential, direct, and shaped around the specific decision in front of you: capital structure, lender readiness, exit assumptions, governance, or a situation that does not fit a standard framework.

This is senior counsel from a corporate finance operator. Not a coaching programme.

Non-executive director & board advisory

When the board needs a voice that is hard to impress.

Founder-led boards often lack an independent read on capital strategy, governance, and the assumptions the business is carrying. That gap is manageable until it is not.

Jonathan takes a small number of NED appointments and board adviser roles with businesses where the work is substantive: restructuring expertise in the room, a clear view on value creation, and the willingness to say what a lender or acquirer will eventually say first.

Raising & borrowing capital

Capital is cheaper when the business is prepared before the ask.

Lenders and investors read risk in the structure, the numbers, and the story before they read the deck. Most businesses approach the market before that work is done.

The guidance covers how debt, equity, and hybrid capital actually work, how a provider will assess the business, and what needs to be in place before the conversation starts. Advisory and educational in nature: not brokerage, not regulated advice, not a guarantee of finance.
